I'm confused; what are her masterpieces and what's her come down record? Cause Marry Me and Strange Mercy def ain't masterpieces and S/T is almost certainly her second best record.

What is pulp to you, then?

See, unless you're Bjork, I'm not a fan of your cover just being you. Especially when you tend to pick terrible fonts, as Nick has a bad habit of doing. I just don't think he's a very visual thinker.

See, I think the Murder Ballads cover is a perfect example of how ugly a Bad Seeds cover can be. Not only does it not really fit the aesthetic of the record, but the painting itself looks so cramped and it's overlayed with some of the ugliest text I've seen on a cover.

This doesn't answer my question though. What is "trashy" in your eyes? It sounds like you're just saying that…films that don't follow strict realism are trashy? But that's a goofy stance to take.

You watched a movie about a ballet dancer going crazy that used Swan Lake as its narrative framework and you expected it wouldn't be silly and overwrought? That was half the charm of the movie.

What is a "prestige director"? I googled it thinking it was a term I just wasn't familiar with and all I got was pics of Christopher Nolan. Because he directed The Prestige.

You keep saying this but I have no idea what you mean by it. What is "trashy" in your eyes?

Hey now, Era Vulgaris's cover is great/hilarious.

I don't know if hype is the word I'd use. Maybe omnipresence.

Almost as if she's some kind of… celebrity pushing a brand or something!

With the sheer number of characters, locations, and separate (currently self-contained) plotlines, it doesn't really feel like a very cohesive story at this moment

Sorry, you should definitely watch Fire Walk With Me as well.

We're officially in the third act and plots are converging left and right. From my vantage point it's been pretty darn satisfying, especially the last few episodes.

Just jump from there to the last two episodes, then take the plunge into the new show. You'll miss a decent amount, but most of it is dumb filler bullshit.

I don't have to try to love the new series. It's endlessly loveable all on its own.

Why do you feel that Lynch is "punishing" us? The Return has been one of the most intriguing and, so far, satisfying pieces of television I've ever seen.

I mentioned this above, but in the scene after the Roadhouse, Big Ed's soup cup very visibly jumps location in the reflection as the same car passes by twice. Afterwards, he looks very unnerved and lights a paper on fire—maybe to see if the same things happens?

I thought it was pretty obvious that the violence was so over the top because it reinforced the points the therapist made at the end. She even, you know, tells you that.

Yeah it comes out September 8th and just had the first song released yesterday. I'm a little baffled by this review as well.
