How much did it cost Philip Seymour Hoffman in future chiropractic bills to film the Mattress Man commercial in Punch-Drunk Love? It's obviously hilarious but I know I'm getting older when I re-watch it now with vague concern for the actor's actual well-being.

I hate Eternal's ending and definitely think Gondry sided on 'ludicrously self-deluded.' That would tie into the rest of the preceding film based on each character's decisions.

Girl With a Pearl Earring:
"My mother did not tell me they were coming. And then the murders began."

"Wes Craven was the guy who gave me my start, from my perspective, for almost no reason in particular,” said almost the most attractive guy in the pile of 1984 head shots at the casting conference.

Watching Madsen in Hateful Eight (I think he is the best of the smaller roles) truly made me wonder why his career never went beyond Tarantino. That line in H8 when he forcefully explains that he is visiting his mother made me laugh in glee. I was the only one in the theater laughing both times I saw it so I guess

Weird. I loved Hateful Eight and Revenant. Other friends of mine did too. Is this the next 'choose only one!: There Will Be Blood or No Country For Old Men' asinine argument?

Never seen Homeland but I'm pretty sure Bruno from L'Enfant beats him. As soon as he is left unattended with the child, he sells his infant on the black market. Worst. Father. Ever.

Mabel Longhetti from A Woman Under the Influence. But if you want to keep watching Empire instead, go right ahead.

God, I love that skit. What a great duel between Carrey and a young Will Ferrell. "Scan me! Nice try, brother!" That skit was such a sign of the future of comedy to come too.
