They Should DEFINITLY start chronologically with Dragon's Dawn, it has the sci-fi tie in (which can only help market) & is referred to in later books but is ESSENCIAL to an origins start to a series, it will add greatly seeing where the colony evolved from; come time for the 2nd fall!!
