My question on the matter comes from the increasing value of product placement in shows:
Because of the higher frequency of shows being streamed without commercials doesn't it make the value of a commercial being planted during the shows running time instead of during a commercial break much higher?

Right, and although 'dramedy' gets thrown around a lot these days, moments like mixing Seabiscuit with Lance Armstrong and then playing it fairly straight as he flings himself off a bridge certainly makes a case for BoJack being considered that way

Kind of seems like you only watched the first six or so episodes. At first I thought this would be a cheap copy of a show that would rely on gross out gags and jokes aimed at the lowest common denominator. Instead I found a show that is more interested in exploring loneliness and the lengths people will go to avoid
