Sanjay's look was also precious, it wasn't a look of being overcome with joy.

I swear I read the opposite just the other day. It makes more sense to drag it out until next season, I can't see them going with the drunk driving given that they focused so heavily on that in the previews and in this show.

Yes. This. He's a driven high-achiever, but part of that is to prove to himself and others that he's worthy. It's a common coping mechanism among black kids raised in white environments. (Source: I'm biracial and grew up among almost entirely white people, and am still driven to prove myself even though I've been

Sanjay is like any other up&comer - he's going to try really hard to
prove how great he is, work crazy hours, constantly trying to one-up
the incumbent.

There are always consultants and contractors. Hell, they could have positioned Sanjay better if they were actually concerned about their top dog. If they gave Sanjay some of the less major work to let Randall focus everything on the top project (which most places worth their salt would do) that would have probably

I'm thinking that she is actually the drunk one, she calls him to come get her, and he dies during that trip. It may be different night, but I also suspect it is when Rebecca is still on tour.

I think they addressed Randall's birth mother, I believe she died in childbirth. That was when William dropped Randall off at the Fire Department.

A decent thing to do would be to recognize that Randall has personal life needs, address that with some temporary help, but to be up front and inclusive about it.

I wonder if the incredible amount of telegraphing Jack's death is a way to get us ready for what's going to happen, or prepare us for another okey-doke plot twist.

This is the message I got. William was around for a few months, and the mailman paid both Randall and William more respect than the company Randall has given everything for the last 10 years.

I don't think this is unheard of, or even odd. Even in the city, my mail carrier does that as well. It's easier than driving and stopping 20 times a block.

I don't agree with the reviewer on Randall's success or aversion to Sanjay. Sanjay wasn't innocuous, he was injected as someone to compete with Randall head-to-head, during the first time where Randall couldn't give the company his entire life.

I have a coworker who is really bothered by Rick being with MIchonne, also for no real reason other than she doesn't like them together. She said the same thing about a few Rick/Michonne interactions, and when I challenged her on why those things were weird at least she said it was because she really didn't like

I know, right. I probably say that 10 times a day at work, it's just about being safe.

The fake deer was so bad I started to think the entire sequence was just a dream/nightmare that Michonne was having after eating a bad MRE. Rick being fake-killed furthered that theory, and when I realized it was actually 'real', I really wondered why the hell the deer looked so fake.

I don't think she was giving up, I think she was in shock. I'm almost surprised it doesn't happen more often, given the circumstances.

I don't agree. He despises, but is incredibly afraid of, Negan. He grew to care about Abraham and the others, and there's no way Eugene has forgotten how they saved his life so many times. Eugene has a deep need to make Rick proud, and he's incredibly loyal. He hasn't forgotten his friendships.

Negan has an in-group persona that is a little different from his out-group persona. With Rick and the other communities he has to be an unrelenting menace. Among the Saviors, he needs to be respected and admired, or feared, depending.

If he does what we think he's going to do, it will make Rick understand how useful he is. Eugene has had a lot of struggles in that category, and I think he still feels a need to prove himself to Rick and the others, especially Rosita. He wants badly to be a hero, and he might have his shot from within the Saviors.

This. He knew they would get caught, and who else knows how to make poison?
