We got the promo right before FJ also. Fortunately, I didn't notice who was up there w/ Julia & Arthur but it definitely ruined the suspense last night. I'll be interested to see if they run it again tonight in the same spot. I think at this point I'm rooting for whoever wins tonight in the finals. I respect Arthur's

I was more interested in the Gaffigan sitcom than anything else CBS ordered. Apparently they are deciding on that after upfronts according to Deadline. I wonder if that is the inevitable replacement for McCarthys, which already reeks of flop.

I was extremely happy I wasn't sipping my coffee at that moment. Pretty sure I would have done a spit-take.

If that lady has had a puff of pot this century, I'll eat my hat. She was too enthusiastic with that Lizzie Borden answer to make me think she is anything but a teetotaler. We expect kids to stay awake in school with teachers like that?

Hackman's Indian buddy in "Tenenbaums", guitarist playin Bowie in Portugese in "Aquatic".

The Cracked Podcast should be a permanent addition here.

I imagine Ken Jennings, known map-lover, still shaking his head this morning.

I think "Power Players" week is valuable if for no other reason than showing people how moronic the punditocracy & their ilk really are.

I've been hearing about "Inside Llewyn Davis" since at least may of last year. I wish they'd release it in flyover country already. They seem to be getting great publicity while not many people can actually go see it. Looking forward to it regardless.

I'm not a huge Leno fan, but he has to take the cake for easiest pop culture person to shit on. I watch Dave if I'm up that late, but I will switch over for Headlines & will probably check out the final episode.

Was surprised to see "Enlisted" & a couple other things on here. I'm looking forward to new books from Anthony Doerr & Gary Shteyngart. Also, Mario Kart 8

God, they hate CBS so much here, which is odd since it's probably the network with the most shows covered in TV Club. As a thirty-something cordcutter with horrible internet speeds, it gets the most screen time in my house.

Plus, believe it or not, a quarter of the country still has horrible internet speeds. Trying to play a GIF let alone a video on my connection is pointless. I wish Netflix or somebody would start lobbying for greater high-speed internet access.

I will probably check this out once it hits home video if it gets good reviews, but life's too short to finish pop fiction that doesn't grab ya.

Every time I see a headline about this project, I think it's an adaptation of the Tana French novel "In the Woods", which I didn't finish, but still sounds better than this.

I think the problem is CBS actually has other shows that people want to watch. Criminal Minds fans need their creep of the week.

I would completely agree with your comment if you had just left off the final word.

Sweet. Thanks for organizing this. I look forward to checking out the podcast.

I haven't read any of the Lonesome Dove equels, mostly because the consensus is that they don't live up to the standard set by the original, but if you're looking for more good McMurtry set on the frontier I recommend The Berrybender Narratives, available as four volumes or one big one the size of LD. It's about a
