I keep going back to Edwards "playing chicken" with the patient's life. I can easily get worked up and upset about it, but then I only have to remember the games Thackery and Gallinger constantly played with their racism allowing delays before surgery, not to mention their original refusal of handing over the scalpel

I didn't think it was physically possible but this both sucks and blows.

My sentiments exactly.

I actually shook my head when that happened.

Oh God, why didn't that happen.

I feel as though I fell through some nightmare wormhole. But then I remember it's the Emmys.

I would have accepted Freeman over Cumberbatch to be honest. BBT first but if not, Freeman was incredible with his transformation.

Oh god, the jealousy I felt. I feel it stirring even now.

Good analysis.

God Bob rocked that scene so hard.

I don't think it was necessarily just so the audience would hate him. It written and finely acted to portray a vengeful dominance f*ck of the wife of the guy who bullied him his entire youth and sexual relations with his wife in the past. Hating him was the result of the action but only part of the design behind it.

That makes me sad.

Brilliant episode. Lester winning is so fun to watch.

Exactly. Remember how even in the beginning he punched his brother and his wife was all aghast. This has been simmering for some time.

I know it can't be but holy christ if they went there.

Agreed.

I remember EW used to have Lisa and Own do them occasionally. I only found them enlightening when they were debating more than one movie, like an Oscar category for instance.

Her non enthusiasm during his vigorous thrusting makes me wonder if all his "pencil dick" comments to Lester were total insecure BS.

God I miss those early seasons of The Shield.

It was almost genuinely dumbfounded.
