My point is that he broke up with him. For better or worse, it was Richie's decision. Maybe that's why I don't see the story of this season as a triangle, because Patrick doesn't have Richie. It's not like he's making a choice between Richie and Kevin.

I'll be shocked if Looking is not renewed while Togetherness was renewed. Nobody talks about this show. Live ratings of this show are little bit better, but it's not like it's breaking records.

I agree so much. I laughed like crazy when he actually cried, but he looked devastating in short moments right before crying. He showed in those moments how Patrick at the same time is ridiculous and heartbreaking. I laugh at him and I feel for him.

I love writing on this show.

Oh, dancing scene was so amazing. This show is all about the friendship for me. On this show, relationship between friends, unlike romantic relationships, are always fulfilling and beautiful.

Why do you think it's devastating? I always thought it's almost victorious moment, Melfi making this difficult, but right choice.

Yes, he also said they are getting like two millions per episode. Which is on the level of the end of first season, and overall good number for very niche show.

I am just saying that I don't think Richie is a huge ratings draw as well. He is popular, but Kevin is also popular.

A lot of people love Kevin's character. But I think writers don't have any illusions about him. I mean, I LOVED him in first season, he really added a lot to the show, but this season showed him as a weak, manipulative, toxic, selfish, self-indulgent man. And I am saying it as a huge Kevin fan.

Why do you don't like those relationship? You think it's not developed well? Or you don't like that it took away from Richie and his screen time? Or for some another reason?

The thing is that a lot of people are insanely happy about Kevin and Patrick being together. Tumblr is pretty expoded with love. Those two are popular, for some reasons (well, this reason is Tovey and Groff's insane chemistry, but I digress).

It sound nice and all, but the thing is that show is only 28 minutes long with 8-10 episodes every year (and I hope we'll get third season). It's just so hard to develop those kind of relationship in such a limited time.

I love Patrick. He holds this show together.

Richie never said he loved him. He said that Patrick is not ready to be loved. Maybe that's why they are not together.

I agree completely. It's like in a relationship. First you think this guy is perfect. But then you got to know him better.

I don't know. Richie-centric episode was lowest rated of the season, with absolutely abysmal ratings. And highest rated was third episode - mostly Patrick and Kevin episode. So I really don't know how this works.

And now Patrick is going to learn very important lesson - sometimes getting what you want (or think you want) is the worst thing that can happen to you.

Exactly. I mean, Dom knows all about Doris' mother, it would've been unnatural for them to talk about it.

Exactly. It was like a huge red flag.

I get it, but the thing is that Patrick's story gets more reaction. Most people watching the show are involved in this non-existent triangle. I also wish this show was longer. Andrew Haigh wishes this show was longer. But it is what it is. Show promised look at lives of three gay men in SF - and it delivers that week
