No, it's not. I read a lot about this show, and second season definitely was received better. As for showcasing the cast - they did a great job with Eddie. And this show is like five hours in whole season. They cover A LOT with such a limited time. And yes, it's a horrible thought for this show to be cancelled.

I liked first season better, it was perfect for me, but judging by reviews and overall critical reaction, most people think that second season is much, much better.

It was terrific! I LOVED it!

Then why did he go there with John? I personally think he wanted to break through facade of calm that Patrick created after his break up with Kevin. That's where this story about going back to Seattle is coming from. He wanted to know that Patrick still cares about him.

Brandon writes beautifully about overarching themes of episodes and season as a whole. Forth episode, with Patrick/Kevin and Dom/Lynn's break ups were great example of interlacement of ideas and storylines. Arc is basically the same it was in first season - relationship starting, building, breaking, being reborn in

We can say that at least John is very controlling. Yes, he obviously was funny, charming, tall, handsome perfection in all four minutes we actually saw him this season, but he is also the guy who forbids certain food his partner loves. So he is controlling and demanding and not really caring about his partner's

There IS actual story, but I guess it's just not the story you want to see.

I must say that I think Kevin truly is suffering, but it doesn't make his manipulations OK.

Say it to Kevin who can't leave Patrick alone.

I think last week HBO renewed Getting On for third and final season - and this show's ratings were lower than Looking's this season (and without the same competition from little watched shows like Oscars, SNL40, Grammy and Golden Globes). So I think they at least will let Looking wrap the story.

Nicely said.

Looking generates MUCH more activity than Togetherness. It's actually surprising. If you look at comments here, amount of think pieces, even YouTube views for promos on official HBO channell, Looking has ten times more activity at least. But live ratings for Looking are lower. So either live ratings doesn't mean much,

There are a lot of assumptions without any basis whatsoever.

He came to his ex-lover's party with his partner they both cheated on. How is that not manipulative? There are no explanations in the world that would make it OK.

Yeah, I feel the same way.

LOL!!!!

No, I am not talking about Patrick being mature enough for relationship and especially marriage. He obviously is not ready, I am not arguing with that, even though I should say that we know so little about John that we can really build any assumptions about him. Last season Kevin was mature and strong and dominant -

Yeah, cheating boyfriend is problematic, while guy who stopped the affair because he didnt want to live with lies and cheating is the worst.

We see difficult and sometimes painful process of Patrick's growth. Structure of relationship between Patrick and Kevin is created in a very clever way. They basically showed the whole evolution in just few episodes. They are together, happy on surface, but Patrick since the beginning (second episode) is suffering

I am not even on facebook, I had no idea it's some status or shit. The fact that simple words about supporting your friends in best or worst times considered invalid because of some facebook shit is mindboggling to me.
