BTW - two tenured physicists working for a university have to split rent, but a waitress at the Cheesecake Factory has her own apartment.

I agree with you about Kripke using his impediment to turn it around making fun of Sheldon, but I hated to see Sheldon use it against him in the first place. There was something singularly decent about all the cast never bringing up Kripke's speech problem. I found it uncomfortable and sad when Sheldon said something.

I see the show becoming predictable, and the writers seem to lack motivation and imagination these past few seasons. However, the show still brightens my Thursdays. I always end up laughing - not the way I did in season 1 when Leonard said, "Our babies will be beautiful and smart." and Sheldon replied,"Not to mention

I assumed when Thomas R referenced "the reviewers" he meant the people posting here as well as your review.

Good point on Holmes representing himself, but why was he sitting in the witness stand by himself when the judge was gone (bathroom break for judges only?)? The entire trial seem contrived, but I enjoyed it, never-the-less.

Being a Monty Python fan, I want to go with the witch theory. However, I think there is another alarming possibility. Clyde, during his screen absence, has lost a significant amount of weight. Obviously, Holmes is concerned enough to be weighing him. I hate to speculate on the reason behind his weight loss, which

I love that McNutt responds to posts. It makes me feel almost relevant. Can you explain the title "Tremors"?

Still not sure Holmes should shoulder such serious guilt, but I love your reductio ad absurdum.

Totally agree - good points.

Are prosecutors allowed to have personal, private conversations with witnesses at any time during at trial? Do witnesses sit on the stand when the judge is not there - just hanging out because the witness stand is so comfy? What sort of court proceedings has a prosecutor and judge in a courtroom to make

You probably don't check back to threads from past weeks, but I thought of you today. I was in Sun Valley, Idaho - SV has a sister resort someplace in Australia; many of their seasonal workers have your amazing accent. It was a high of 6 degrees, and I was wearing my uggs. My feet and legs were toasty warm.

I am a high school English teacher in the US. In our state (and much of the country), Shakespeare is taught every year except 11th grade.11th is American lit. My school brings in a Shakespeare company each year, and we take the entire school, including our juniors.

I was surprised that after Holmes lied on the stand, the Captain wasn't more upset; I felt as if Holmes got a pass for his lies - end justifies the means?? Garrison isn't the kind of man to tolerate perjury. I was really disappointed Watson backed Holmes, committing perjury herself - seemed out of character. After

I will not argue that uggs are fashionable, but as an owner of several pairs….if you live in a cold climate, such as a ski area, they stay in style. Below zero, snow on the ground - I love my uggs. In this episode, I think they were just used to disguise the fake bomb. I hear NY is pretty cold in the winter. Where in

There are 44 definitions for "jive" in the urban dictionary and only one for jib (in a regular dictionary). So, you could probably make a case for using jive in any sentence for any purpose.

Agree. I could have gone with an "over-involved Jewish mother" line - and I don't expect subtlety in a comedy, but they keep hitting us in the head with a sledge hammer with Mrs. Wolowitz..

I agree with you on the Sheldon part; perhaps I spoke too soon. The Sheldon-Dad bit was good. It did take me awhile to get over yelling at the TV, "Sheldon doesn't ever drink!" He won't even touch coffee (except for the Penny Blossom episode), so alcohol was a huge stretch, but funny. We all knew he was going to

For a guy who went to MIT (even without a PhD) Howard is pretty slow to figure out he needs to stop with the silly jokes with his father-in-law. That is another go-to joke the writers trot out every time they put the two together. Are the writers just copy/pasting joke from previous episodes. They need some new ideas.

hide not hid - what happened to the edit button?

Watch Elementary. The characters are constantly drinking tea or coffee, but it is obvious the cups/mugs are empty. They don't even hid it. It makes the lasagna snafu seem small. You are observant.
