Let's talk about Kinja.

The powers that be at AV Club seem to care, it's just their cocorporate bosses and the people that design and maintain Kinja that don't give a shit.

And Steve Bannon somehow gets a residual from Seinfeld reruns.

And forget 72, they're ALL virgins!

*Tim Curry voice*

Yes.

The meaning, significance and the ability to pull off those and other meme comments will be greatly diminished-to-eliminated with the Kinja switchover.

What!?! Amazing!
If you can't trust extortionist hackers, who CAN you trust!?!

Yes. Astounding, isn't it?

Go get stuffed.

The irony of the situation: There were so many angry comments about switching to Kinja, that Disqus broke.

Well, once the comments dry up here after the switch. and subsequently the peripheral lurkers and people that only come to read the comments stop coming, maybe they'll have an idea of what it's worth to them.

Yes.

The funny thing is, there were so many angry comments, I believe the discuss started to break and not all the comments are readily visible.

Yes.

I made a comment about readability and nesting comments.

Never forget:

AV Club is pulling its site from Disqus and re-launching on an old, broken content service they got in a bankruptcy sale

Yes. You can't sort comments by newest/oldest. They're sorted by a magic algorithm that takes into account how useful the comment is and other mumbo jumbo. And it's not even sorted by 'best'. The stars they employ are more of a suggestion of a post's worth than they are a pure upvote.
