Ya know this was a good episode, I cannot deny that. BUT… it had been a while since this show was on and I was jones'n for some HTGAWM twisty drop-dropping craziness and it didn't have that, so I'm a little disappointed.

"What’s really at the heart of the episode’s flaws is the same issue the show has been struggling with all season: trying to find a good mix of following the Baudelaires and building up the mythology around them."

I saw that Nasim Pedrad is Iranian American. Is that Aly's ethnicity too? Just curious if anything had been mentioned there?

How much do Forensic Scientists make? My gut says a decent amount, but a google search came up with everything from $30,000 to $94,000 a year.

Thanks for the heads up everyone. I watched the first two episodes and I'm excited to see where things go.

I watch both and they're both great! Very different vibes though. If someone played both of them for you with no context, you could probably still gather that Please Like Me was a normal TV show, while the Outs has a very distinct indie vibe.
It's a great show though and worth watching.

I don't follow

I just realized that Robbie wrapped two presents for Winston and zero for Jess and somehow failed to realize that was weird ahead of time and give the roommates a heads up.

I've seen so much mention of Person of Interest in comments on this site. I need a new show and its on Netflix so I think I'm gonna check it out.
Without giving away spoilers, is there anything I need to know before starting?

I love the multiple mentions of Drag Race on this list. All Stars 2 really was an amazing season of TV. Specifcally THAT episode with Tatianna and Alyssa Edwards. Like that was Must Watch TV.

I saw some people mentioning foreign shows, and I have to highly recommend Please Like Me! It's an Australian half hour show; classified a comedy, but it does great with dramatic elements as well!
It's amazing!!! Y'all should check it out!
One episode from this season made me both laugh and cry! I realize everyone has

This list examined Best Shows of 2016. Curious what people would rank as the best single episode of television of the entire year.
Since there's different formats (serialized vs procedural) we will say that the episode doesn't have to make sense by itself as a stand alone, but we will also say that someone shouldn't

Peyton is a regular next season?!?! Thank goodness. My prayers have been answered! ugh I'm so ready for this show to come back!

SAME! I have a schedule on my computer than is color coordinated by network. Although it doesn't matter cuz, I watch everything online. lol. An average week has me with 15 - 20 hours of weekly programming and then I usually have a show on Netflix I binge on as well.

I hadn't noticed Wally's costume much, but after looking at some pictures, I totally agree! It needs some big fluffy hair to make sense. It's weird. I also think it's weird that it just looks like a leather jacket. I don't love the yellow, but I don't hate it really either. I just think the material is a weird choice.
I

I feel like it's also worth mentioning the environment with this episode. I realize it was buried underneath all the more interesting things. I think most people saw the decline of bees and helping the environment as justification to get the robot bees into the episode.
However, I think something could also be said

That's a fair point. I would be fine with that. Just as long as the different styles are quite different and really make the characters unique. Thus far Wally seems quite similar to Barry.

Are you kidding? You think super speed wouldn't have advantages for Iris? lol

I think the problem is the pacing and the amount of focus. I always look to Buffy for a good example of serialized television. It was pretty formulaic with its season arcs but (in my opinion) it worked.

I really hope this show finds something good to do with Wally. I have found him a little bothersome lately, but at least he has stuff going on.
