Sooooooo. 'Cabin in the Woods', or 'Detention'.
To be fair, I enjoyed Detention for its sheer ball-to-the-wall attitude. This looks like it could be similar and just a little too self conscious.

Any listeners to Jake and Amirs podcasts surely find themselves saying 'excuse you' and 'that's absolutely more than enough'.

As long as they keep the R/15 rating. Ain't having none of that subdued Taken 2 PG13/12A shit.

No thank you. Looks a bit like 'The Revenant' but not as inventive, way less funny, and kinda sexist.

Where is It Follows? I KNOW it's only just come out but holy moly that is the shit. And The Babadook if we're going with horror movies - both at least as good as Under the Skin. Surprised to see Scott Pilgrim quite so high up, specially as its probably Wright's weakest film (still amazing though). Also Dogtooth fucked

I don't understand why Dreamworks can't continue to follow the trail left by How To Train Your Dragon - utterly reference free, emotional, well casted, and beautifully told stories, that are funny, powerful and exciting all at once, and are massive critical and commericial successes. It's baffling.

Wonderful reading this as a Brit who has seen all of the episodes already. But I enjoyed it otherwise, and it does pick up - the first few episodes are somewha 'meh'. But quite

Its truly beautiful. Us lucky Brits got to see it first, and it's genuinely one of the scariest, but also most gorgeous films I've ever seen.
