I think the author forgot that "The Ember Island Players" allowed the use of new scenes being produced, whereas the Korra team could only use 5 minutes' worth of new material… They tried to make the best of it and took inspiration from TEIP, but no one can really do that when they're restricted to 5 minutes of new…
