That's ridiculous.

I would think your example would mean conservative could mock liberals lack of sanctity and willingness to smash existent structures without adequately knowing what should replace them.

Of course he is. American conservatism is, traditionally, a fusion of libertarianism and traditionalism.

I think conservatives are more likely to believe in sanctity or reverence so might be less likely to do truly irreverent humor.

"For a start, look up what neoliberalism is."

You do know that idea, conservatives all being on the same page, is not actually true right? I mean I feel like that one should be obvious it's false, look at all the Republicans who have criticized Trump (and in cases like Rand Paul or Justin Amash voted against what he wanted) but many here seem to actually think

Well on that issue I honestly don't think many here would care what the vigorously pro-life person does. If they were like Glenn from Superstore, and a caring foster father to many unwanted children, they might respect his consistency (and that he "practices what he preaches") but it wouldn't make them evaluate his

I kind of feel like hypocrisy is maybe supposed to be more

I don't know if it's that common, but people here tend to deny that you can find it even in academia and I do find that a little ridiculous. (I've pushed back on that on occasion, but usually to no avail.) At the very least you will find it in the English and sociology departments of even some pretty moderate

There are things I don't like about this article, but in fairness I think it mostly just brings up that theory and then largely rejects. It outright states, "Let’s be real, though. South Park didn’t “invent” the “alt-right,” even accidentally."

That's because you have it more or less correct and we've messed up words beyond all recognition. (In many ways I actually don't think Europe is usually right and we are usually wrong or at least I'd say it's not that simple. But this issue of terminology is an exception.)

Yeah. I'm still miffed that, unlike in the book, Fascist Italy doesn't seem to exist in the show "The Man in the High Castle."

I'm hoping that's intended as weird humor. I finally have a house and I found it a good feeling to just be pleasant to them and say I'm not interested. They haven't bothered me since.

Huh, I'm here. I hope I get enough sleep tonight for the trip.

Although you might be right here it's really annoying to think anyone who is more mild on Trump than the group's consensus is a Breitbarter. It's very knee-jerk.

On an unrelated note I think I'm giving up on Will.

Cool. I might check it out through On Demand. Although I don't know how long this free preview thing will last and I really don't have the money to do HBO for one show. (Heck I barely have the money for the package that has BBAmerica. Maybe this series will be on Netflix or Amazon Prime at some point.)

I think the back story was part of it.

I can see that. I wouldn't say I hated them too, but at times they did seem kind of self-indulgent drunks that made you sympathize with their naysayers maybe more than they intended.

People of Earth thread. (I might be asleep or doing other things after midnight. I'm going to the dentist tomorrow afternoon.) I'll try not to make this too spoilerish of a start.
