I think it's for people who want an aggressive "every man." And though he's not exactly attractive he's at least arguably more attractive than those other men you name. (I suppose Beck could have a certain kind of doughey "cuteness", like maybe Commish era Chiklis, if it weren't for having such intense emotional

What a jerk. (Plus NRO isn't even all "Never Trump" even if largely so as they're conservatives. Still they post things by Victor Davis Hanson, who is one of the most intellectual of Trumpers.)

As mentioned they do. The editorial cartoon winner was Jim Morin. Mark Fiore is a relatively recent past winner who apparently also does comics and web-comics.

Congratulations?

We've mocked our leaders forever though. SNL has been doing so since Ford. (Plus I think people can separate the leader from the people. People who hate Putin, even if they know Russians like him, I don't think necessarily hate Russians. Although you don't see it here it's possible to hate Trump, but not hate his

It can be two things.

I doubt people like him would see Fox News the way you do. (And is it really that much of a ghetto anyway? We've seen people transition from it to other things.)

Oh and I'm catching up on "People of Earth" as it comes back next week.

Homosexual activity is still a crime in Botswana, Brunei, Kenya, Maldives, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Senegal, the Solomon Islands, Tunisia, the UAE and others. In several countries female homosexuality is allowed, but male homosexuality is at least officially illegal even if this ban may not be enforced.

I try not to block anyone over politics be it way Left to way Right of me. I still think it's probably good to hear from all kinds of people and try to understand them.

I thought the show was Canadian? Or is this a "Canada is in the Americas too" situation?

She's come a long way from an Old-Fashioned Thanksgiving.

I was an undergraduate in the 1990s and "Can white people write black characters? Should they?" was an issue then. And though people may not have used the word "appropriation" I remember people before that angry at Paul Simon because Ladysmith Black Mambazo should be "on their own journey, not brought to us by some

You might be reading too many Youtube comments. Even the racists I've known who hate blacks would be more "I want them to go away and be nowhere near me" than "I want to interact with black people almost every day, but with them as slaves and mistresses."

It was an odd book that would seem pretty insensitive now. Although I liked the stuff near the end with Time Travel and I think him being known as a crazy old guy with stories of another timeline.

Well I'm Christian. Love your enemy and all that. I grant if you're not it might sound unjust or weird.

Dark Matters! And tomorrow Orphan Black.

It doesn't seem Pollyannaish to me, it seems pretty much realistic. (I don't think he's suggesting a CSA that has even the contemporary South's level of racial equality.)

He won because of the Midwest, not the South. Romney won all the states in the South Trump did except for Florida. Trump did do better in much of the South (particularly Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee) but Romney did better in Georgia and Texas.

The Spanish Civil War maybe? (Although I think the Republican/anti-Franco side had a lot more problems then is generally realized.) Franco ruled on until the 1970s although I think he loosened up on the economy at some point.
