correct views (social liberalism) and dumb views (social conservatism)
and generally this is accepted as fact."

I think this one was mostly better than "Kimmy Goes to a Play!" because their objections seemed sensible even to me and then they turned out wrong.
It is possible to criticize two different, even opposite, things. I think you can dislike both Ayn Rand and the Soviet Union she was, in part, reacting to.
I'm glad my college didn't work that way. I wrote on one essay so long the maintenance people came in.
I think I took it as saying their opinions are immature. And frankly they are. They say a few things that are obviously incorrect (Like the thing about "when a man sleeps with his brother in law he's a stud" or whatever) because they're going by half-understood things they read or heard in a class.
I think that's part of why I considered or added "observation of the experience of others." There is some tendency among people to just go on their own life and I agree that can get a bit narrow.
I think at a certain age it really does become exhausting to keep challenging your own views. You eventually settle a bit on something somewhere along the way.
The way they kind of seemed to treat Perry could be a bit of a play on them being privileged while saying they dislike privilege.
I don't think youth can really bring wisdom. Wisdom is from experience or at least observation of the experiences of others.
I had extra time at tests do to my disability. This kid isn't disabled though.
It figures this is one that would irritate the reviewer since it's a bit designed to hurt the feelings of reviewers like her. It might be difficult to step back from that and just review the episode. (Heck it's practically designed to hurt the AV Club's feelings in general.)
Yeah, that's an issue with many of these things. Taken out of their original context they either lose meaning or bend meaning or get taken in a way that then ends up making people bemoan the original concept.
There was a period after 2008 where there were a bunch of interesting "reformist conservatives" and I'd hoped they'd be the ones to matter. Instead we got the Tea Party.
It's one of those where the theme is a bit off from the actual show. Another for me is "The Incredible Hulk." The show itself I'm sure had some poignancy, but the theme was like that big poignant ballad thing.
Being the contrarian I'll say it's extremely unrealistic to think one party can have the Presidency forever.
Gotham for me I guess.
I might have thought the deaf girl going "F-You" would give you a clue, but you do say you knew you had done something wrong. (Not sure I should say this, but what you did sounds worse to me than what Foxx did.)
Just upvoting because I've liked that video/song in the past. It's so weird.
She's something of a fan favorite on the boards. I can admire the boldness in this as she might be overrated.
I think the problem is more writing than acting. Some of the dialogue can get really clunky and awkward. (Even for better characters like Flockhart's or Benoist's.) They also sometimes don't know how to end plotlines very well and just seem a bit scattered or something.
