This is what makes The Middle an infinitely more enjoyable show than Modern Family lately. Where the show is focused on a family dynamic, if you have members of the family who are unable to act, it really can ruin even well-conceived storylines. Eden, Charlie, and Atticus are just on top of their game in my opinion. I

I compare it to chocolate. It's empty calories, doesn't have too much in the way of life benefits, but it's still fun.

I really didn't care for most of this one. The pissing contest line made me laugh, as did the completely absurd reveal about the bet. Overall, weak episode in my opinion.

Definitely a valid counterargument. Quite frankly, it wasn't something that bothered me in Dark Souls or Dark Souls II, so I think it was more an impact of the longer load times in Bloodborne. I died against Ornstein and Smough quite a bit, but the load times are substantially shorter in that game.

As the article (loved it, by the way!) notes, the Super Mario mainline series has effectively transitioned from the early days of 1-ups to a much more modern approach. I've heard the argument be made that they should be jettisoned entirely from Mario, but frankly, they're harmless little bits of nostalgia. In Super

The whole Simon plot about those bombs bring the peace. I can't even…

Hayley and Alex were something of a saving grace, but this episode was lousy overall. The relationship counseling thing was just a giant miss, which is a shame because putting Phil and Cam in a room together should lead to something funny.

Both shows were great as usual last night. I liked The Goldbergs a little more than The Middle if only because my wife and I saw the basic story beats of The Middle coming a mile away, but that didn't detract at all. Both shows are flawlessly cast and everyone just works so well together, whether it's 7 years running

I wonder if they'll adapt any of the graphic novel storylines into the new season. Those books were pretty darn good.

Yeah I was thinking about other games with good DLC. I need to go back to Bioshock Infinite at some point because I never finished the core game. Same for Mass Effect 3, but I liked the Mass Effect 2 DLC a lot. Apart from that, the other good ones I can think of are GTA IV's two DLC packs and Mario Kart 8's two DLCs.

You're probably right. I didn't feel like the DLC needed to be any longer or more substantial; actually, in terms of raw content, I think it was the perfect length. A lower price point would have been nice, but I didn't feel ripped off by any stretch of the imagination.

As a rule, I almost never buy DLC. The few exceptions were Borderlands and Borderlands 2 DLC, which felt substantial as opposed to feeling like something that was cut from the main game and added back in later to make a few extra bucks. I played Bloodborne back in the summer and blew through it, scoring the platinum

I got a PS4 back during the summer. It came with Batman and Witcher 3 as a bundle. The only PS4 game I bought separately that day was Bloodborne. I have to tell you, whenever you do get a PS4, you need Bloodborne day 1. There are several good next gen (current gen, I suppose) games out there, but if you like games

I had this preordered and man was it worth it. That amiibo is amazing and given the abject lack of Chibi Robo merchandise out there, I love it. Oh, and there's a game in the box. It's alright.

This show is silly, sometimes ridiculous, often over-the-top… and I enjoy it despite the fact that those three descriptions often come together to form something I despise.

Haha had a similar conversation with my wife who couldn't possibly care less

I ain't afraid of no goats was great. I also enjoyed the whole scene with Mitch and Luke in the car, even if it was kind of unnecessary. Phil was also really good in this episode.

Loved the Revenge of the Jedi poster in Adam's room. The family room down in their basement also had a Star Wars poster on the wall in one frame. If you read this, Adam, fair to say the Revenge poster was a print as opposed to one of the expensive authentic ones?

The world is a better place now that the karaoke scene exists.

This has been my number 1 complaint as the show has gone on. I'm not sure if it's Nolan's fault or the writers… it's so hard to tell. Like you mentioned, Sean and Atticus have had their respective puberty transformations addressed without issue in those shows. Luke is creepy, both in the lines he has and his delivery.
