See, I walked away with the ambiguity still intact. I interpreted it as either person being deranged. The mother could be imagining that her second son is dead, or the son could be imagining his dead twin.
In my case, it's mostly frustration. In his early films, you can see that he has a clear visual language and a solid idea of storytelling. But each successive film is a bit of a waste of his potential, giving completely into the visual effects and ignoring characterization and plotting.

You sound like Larry. Has this show taught you nothing about sexuality? Just because Fig's husband doesn't love her doesn't mean he's "clearly" gay. They're both horrible people, and hooking up with a dude on his staff is not the end-all-be-all evidence of his sexuality.
