yea i was bummed about the lack of transformation by Amberle, that was a key part of the book.

I have to say that i was disappointed in this season. Maybe it is because i am a die-hard fan of the books. The overall pacing of the episodes was terrible and it was clear that most of the money that MTV gave the writers was geared more towards the props and scenery and making the episodes 'pretty' and not focused…
yea the Amish Cowboy Raves need to end. Unfortunately with all the things the show did right, the one thing that will stuck in my brain for a long time is the 'so out of place and ridiculous it's funny' cowboy techno dance.
I still say he is trying to sound like Sean Connery.
I am inclined to agree that Brooks' desire was to have his work in cinema or TV by any way possible before he retires/passes away. MTV offered the best option, but unfortunately with that offer came the not so surprising writer/creativity issues that have shown up repeatively in this series so far. If they do a…
Yes, the comment about being a child of armaggedon is in reference to his Genesis of Shannara Series. The best series in my opinion is the Heritage of Shannara books he wrote in the early to mid 90's. I also agree with Cassiehayes in that the Voyage of the Jerle Shannara series is strong as well. The Morgawr and…
MTV is absolutely killing this show with their teeny bopper episodes. the cheesiness factor is only worsening with each show. I was worried MTV would 'MTVify' the story with their ridiculous adlibs and sidestories and boy did they ever…. With two episodes left, I sincerely doubt they will finish this season so that…
I am starting to think MTV is butchering this. Slanter wasn't even a character in the novel and to create a backstory on him just wastes time. They are taking liberties with the characters and the overall plot to embellish and expand needlessly. I can bet real money that if this was done on a different network, the…
The Reaper was the main villain that is mentioned in the book. Dagda Mor is more of a puppetmaster holding the strings. It will be interesting to see what the TV show does with him. I have read almost all of Brook's novels and the Reaper is one of the best villians he ever created.
