Really? It just doesn't feel like Just Shoot Me was that long ago.
Segal got old if that unflattering photo is any indication. Anyways he's been one of the greatest joys on looking through '70s cinema lately. He's sort of like a tougher Elliot Gould (or at least one constantly in Marlowe form).
Hecky was actually based on a real actor that Mostel knew (can't remember his name) so it definitely hit home.
Mediocre news pieces for HBO?
The Front is so perfect. Though I love Martin Ritt to death so… As to other blacklist films there is (not counting metaphors and stuff like that) Good Night, and Good Luck.
Only the bits from Bunuel live up to the original book.

The movie itself is brilliant, Pollack's best by several leagues, but Young steals…
Walt will buy a balloon animal.
And his handling of it is so Buster Keaton stone face that it only makes it twice as funny.
That's sad, though still better than him being in a Nic Cage situation.
Brandt is definitely the most underrated member of the ensemble. Her scene in Magic Mike was perfect and I'm so glad she's getting new jobs so swiftly.
