You thought it so it probably does now.

The way that royalties can work differ based on the agreement worked out, but in general if the film were made for a million dollars and Lionsgate claims a two million profit that should net Card at least a thousand bucks easily.

The poor and the weak by the definition of their status do not have the power of the strong and the rich. Would you say that to a black man in the '40s? I hope not. Admittedly job opportunities are better for gay people because they can be closeted. It's not about erasing homophobia so much as mitigating it to

Baby cerberus?

Though even Miller at least keeps his insanity to the page.

@avclub-808e22af6c33eea22608f30cef458844:disqus They did. NOM was the second highest backer of prop 8 after the actual Mormon chruch. That Card actively supports both institutions show that in a legal sense he has been impeding my right as an American to marry a dude if I so wish.

You heard me my space friend. That was one really bad movie.

With most studios and a popular property they don't consider much beyond if the author is dead or alive.

Totally, I've known for a long time Lionsgate as one of the nicer studios from industry friends so it's cool for them to try to salvage that reputation as reasonably as is possible. I don't blame them nor their movie for Card's asshatism even if it means I won't be supporting this one particular release by them.

But Cabin in the Woods was awful.

It's almost the bible.

I'll probably watch it if it goes onto the base theater since admission is free and concessions just go back to the base. Otherwise I'll probably just wait until it pops up at the library.

I was juat about to say that this seems like the best Lionsgate could do considering everything, but at the same time I don't want to give Card even a penny of my money which this would do. Maybe once he's dead. I know I've supported them enough over the years not to feel bad about this.

I wouldn't list it for this year either.

I don't know entirely about that. On the surface you're correct, but in the last decade we've seen the premiers of such promising American talents as Joseph Khan, Jeff Nichols, Ti West, Shane Carruth, maybe Joseph Kosinski, Jason Moore, Rian Johnson, Adam Green, Ruden Fleischer, Gareth Edwards, Jason Reitman, Miranda

20 and only have had to pay for Spring Breakers and Upstream Color. Thank you US Navy.

I thought that twist is what made the film so good. As I said earlier I find the twist a great commentary on the commercialization of political movements.

Nice way to introduce the apocalypse though.

I actually appreciate the lack of expository dialogue. He gives some visual exposition so I never feel completely at a loss, but telling what's happening always annoys me so Upstream Color is a breath of fresh air for that.

Obviously the superior option is just renting Cria Cuervos.
