They'd work better if Armisen actually looked and sounded like Durst. But he doesn't, and isn't even trying. It's a funnier running gag if it was just something Lillian brings up wistfully without seeing someone pretending to be him.

How long have we been promised the 2nd Ave subway??!! Lillian is, again, the true voice of New York City.
I've wanted a soundtrack since, well, the first episode of the first season. That theme song. Then "Peeno Noir", the "Daddy's Boy" number (the one in a future episode is just as awesome). It needs to happen!
Viewers have been Tweeting him all weekend and he's been responding to pretty much everybody. Nice guy! This seems like his big break and based on everything I've seen him in, long overdue! I'm so happy they brought him back because he made such a strong impression last season.
Yes! I was waiting for one and it never happened! You know Jon Hamm would bring it, too; I'm reminded how hilarious he was as the female nurse in Liz's Valentine's Day fantasy on "30 Rock".
Totally agree! This and the next few episodes are the peak of this season for me.
Conversations like the above are when I fully endorse smacking someone upside the head LOL j/k
Wait, the guy who plays Brandon is named…Brandon? I was more intrigued by that bit of news than the arrest lol
I immediately forgot the Bunny and Kitty theme song, so definitely the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt theme song.
That was episode 2, a joke that also rather nicely foreshadowed the return of Mikey, the construction worker who was working on building a bank last season ("Seriously, guys, big picture, do we really need another bank?").
I honestly thought the show was going to do THE JERK route and have Jackie be adopted, which would explain so much.
I completely lost it at that joke!
Now THAT made me laugh hard. The random use of "Hitler" as a label for something you find offensive or irritating.
Last season's "Please masturbate responsibly" was a better library sign joke.
It looked like him, but the guy was thicker than Adam Scott, so I don't think it was.
Yep, I thought of STREETCAR. It fell flat as a joke for me, though.
Yeah, why aren't "Biker Mice from Mars" still a thing? Look it up, it was a real thing.
Her appearance later in the season works slightly better, but then her sobbing-laughter was an unfortunate note to leave on with her. I think if the character was written better it would be a stronger performance; she's working with what she's given.
Exactly! I don't think Fey & Co. would have even made the reference if THE JINX hadn't taken pop culture by storm last year.
I honestly thought that's where they were going.
