I actually do enjoy Marnie's stories more, and the show is clearly laughing AT her when she does and says stupid shit. The same is done to Shoshanna. But at this point the two most insufferable characters are Jessa and Hannah because the writing doesn't ask us to laugh at them and their stupid, selfish decisions.

Ugh yeah this irritated the hell out of me. Then she miraculously gets a job as a sub teacher, because those are so easy to get, and not only manages to keep that job despite being inappropriate with her students AND her boss, but somehow lands the guy she drove away by being her awful self. It's like Dunham is

Wait, which demographic are you talking about? Privileged young white girls? We have mega-million blockbuster franchises aimed at that demographic. Unless you meant another…? I'm genuinely curious.

This. With Larry David, you're also laughing AT him. And while I guess there may be undercurrents of misogyny in the dislike of Hannah/Dunham, it's not a catch-all and it's, frankly, lazy to write people's feelings about her off with one fell swoop of "misogynist!" Julia Louis-Dreyfus plays another awful,

Different strokes (literally) for different folks.

Definitely an A or A- episode!

Meanwhile, everyone also spelled Scott's name wrong LOL

Tai was getting a ton of pushback from fans last night on Twitter, thankfully. To quote Abi-Maria, "He's dead to me."

Remove Hatch and Dalton, and, actually, Hantz, frankly. All three were great TV. Cumbie wasn't. That group is way too sausage-heavy. Na'Onka, J'Tia, and Alicia should be in there somewhere, too.

Um, Heroes vs. Villains is perhaps the best season in the show's entire run. Micronesia (Fans vs. Favorites) is up there, too, as well as last season (Cambodia). Granted sometimes you have All-Stars and Redemption Island stinking up the joint, but for the most part returnee seasons satisfy more than disappoint. It's

Or, like Tony, they'll make it to the end and win. You really never know with this show.

I'm also really glad she's not getting the Purple Julia edit.

Jason claims on Twitter that Tai gave the idol back right after Tribal. So there goes any chance of Tai doing anything game-changing. I'm very quickly going against Tai.

Definitely agreed! I'm glad that there's someone else who doesn't place Amazon as a top-tier season besides me. It gets a ton of love these days because of Rob C's standing in the fan community now, but it's a barely middle-of-the-road season.

Julia had immunity….did you watch the episode?

Oh no, Twitter was exploding with negativity towards Tai last night and he posted a response that he was sorry people were disappointed in him. You don't turn into a toadie to prove your allegiance to assholes.

Truth! You know that little toadie that hangs around the bullies in high school who co-signs their bullshit and even acts as a henchman sometimes so he can feel cool and part of the gang? That's Tai at this point. Considering idols are only temporary power (especially a super idol, which means you're losing TWO idols

Thank you for mentioning Richard Barthelmess! The poor guy, a superstar in the silent and early talkie period, gets bulldozed in discussions of this movie, but it's his last great role as a character who is ALSO being given one last great chance. Perfect casting. And it's staggering to think of Thomas Mitchell's 1939,

I prefer Jean to Ingrid in terms of comic abilities, for sure. But CASABLANCA is certainly better than ONLY ANGELS.

Arthur extraneous to the plot? Hayworth is even MORE extraneous!
