It's also a crime that Robert Sean Leonard never even got an Emmy nomination as best supporting actor. Especially for the whole Amber death arc (which BTW Anne Dudek deserved a guest nomination for as well).

I think the point about star vehicles was a bit jumbled in the roundtable. The thing about Hugh Laurie in House - or Kerry Washington in Scandal, or Benedict Cumberbatch in Sherlock, or Aaron Paul in Breaking Bad, etc. - is that those were relatively unknown or little-known actors who were then catapulted to stardom…
