I loved everything about the Golden Age of Grotesque era except for the album itself. It lacks dynamics, both in sonic and tempo terms. It's far too rigid. I know he was going for a rock/electronic hybrid feel, but it erred on the wrong side of musicality.

It's my second favorite now. The Pale Emperor is just that good.
