There was definitely a clear R+L = J foreshadowing moment in the immediate jump from Gilly telling Sam that he is the father of her baby to the Tower of Joy flashback. Gilly, like Lyanna, was raped by her captor and Gilly bore a child whose true parenthood she wants hidden at all costs.
