One of those might be mine.

I loved The Else when I first heard it, but it doesn't really hold up. It sounds like TMBG trying to be a mainstream alt-rock band. Join Us was better, and Nanobots is the best thing they've done since at least Factory Showroom.

Mountain Goats edition (I only have a small selection of them on my iPod right now):

Have they sent out any of their fan club merchandise yet? I haven't gotten anything except my ticket voucher.

The A.V. Club
Something that was problematic

I just got my commission last week, and when I signed after taking my oath, the clerk said "You have terrible handwriting. Make sure you order a stamp."

Bruce Springsteen, "Adam Raised a Cain"
Bat For Lashes, "What's a Girl To Do?"
Carly Rae Jepsen, "Tiny Little Bows"
Weird Al Yankovic, "Hardware Store"
Cranberries, "Zombie"
The Cars, "Drive"
Rush, "Bravest Face"
Taylor Swift, "Out of the Woods"
Ramones, "Spider Man"
The Police, "Message in a Bottle"

That no-talent assclown should change his name!

Also, an extra special fuck you to the governor of Indiana, who has the same name as me. I've seen my name really dragged through the mud this last week. [ETA: we only have the same last name, but I've had more than a few people this week ask me if we're related. It doesn't help that I live near his old Congressional

Who knows? West Virginia is the same way. I guess it makes it so that no one who isn't a member of the majority party would ever want to be governor.

The Arkansas governor actually vetoed the bill. Of course, it only takes a simple majority in the Arkansas legislature to override a veto.

stop it

He and I have the same name. Can I sue him for defamation? Or harming my brand?

My favorite version of "Bullet the Blue Sky" is probably the one from Popmart in Mexico City.

The version of "New Year's Day" on Live From Paris is excellent, and "October" works perfectly as an intro.

[Feigns ignorance of Nyomi Banxxx while simultaneously getting aroused]

…again…

Like most people of my generation, my first exposure to Kraftwerk came from the Sprockets theme and this Simpsons joke.

Gross is our word. You're not allowed to use it!

I'm assuming the other one was seeing the signs for Big Bone Lick State Park.
