I think I may be in the minority, but I don't think either of them are terrible, per se. I think they're both complex and troubled people, in different ways. Mickey is a pretty classic addict, and Gus is a smarmy "nice guy." But I honestly wouldn't classify either of them as terrible, thats a really strong word. I

I was wondering if maybe that was working up to a reveal that they're doing coke.

I was cracking up! Desi stumbling over his words, asking to get some water, and then slowly pouring it and drinking all of it killed me. The actor who plays Desi is great.

Agreed. Also, addiction can be really difficult for the partner. Obviously its wrong for Marine to make it all about herself but anyone who has dealt extensively with an addict knows that addicts can be incredibly selfish, destructive, narcissistic, and disruptive, especially in a romantic relationship.

As much as a lot of people really hate this show, I can't help but love it. I really think it nails growing up in your 20s so perfectly. I started watching this when I was in college and I was 20. I am now 25 (so just a few years behind the main cast) but I can relate sooo much. Around the time I graduated college I

I really love watching the evolution of Shoshanna. I like how they're acknowledging how Shosh doesn't see Jessa as this cool, worldly, free-spirited manic pixie dream girl anymore, and that she's actually just kind of a mess who doesn't have her life together. Its true to reality, I've been in situations when I was in

Agreed. Especially because Marnie is supposed to be the "sensible" one. I feel for her on some levels, I've been in a relationship where things just went so crazy, and now that a few years have passed I look back on it and think "how the hell did I get to that point?" similar to how Marnie was contemplating her life

I don't know if its that she "isn't allowed" to fall in love with Adam. I think that we can't really control some basic human emotions, and its only normal for Hannah to be sad about her best friend and ex-boyfriend getting together. Hannah didn't even do anything that crazy about it, as far as we know she left them

OMG! Had no idea that was him! He looks really different!

I looooved that part of the episode. I think its super realistic and I like how the show doesn't characterize Josh as a bad guy or anything, but instead just shows how some people may not match up no matter how badly they want to or how nice they are to one another.

I really enjoyed this episode and especially this recap. I'm younger than the characters in this show (25) but the show is definitely targeting my demographic so there are episodes I strongly relate to, and this was one of them. Life is full of changes and new eras and adaptation, and its best to embrace it and ride

Vegan Cinderella hit the nail on the head for the new type of "millennials in major city" demographic. I enjoyed it a lot.

Yeah, I think thats what I really like about their shows. Even though they create their own bizarre worlds, it actually feels like a much more accurate representation of contemporary life in the South than almost any other tv show/movie.

I was legitimately shocked when the shot panned over to the teenagers! I gasped and then laughed so hard because I really couldn't believe they went there. But as a teacher, they totally nailed all the little elements that make up high school overnight field trips.

It is definitely not! I too thought that obtaining a teaching job would be do-able, but it was ROUGH after I graduated. I landed a job as a full-time teacher in a private school and I'm so grateful for it, but to get into the public school system you need to network and hustle and know people. Too many teachers out

I'm happy you said this. I think Adam is really just the male equivalent of the girls on the show, and I also think his temper is really bad and downright scary sometimes. Also, has he ever even had a job, in any season? I remember Hannah mentioning that he gets money from his grandmother and sells handmade

I loved this episode. I'm so happy they gave MRH some layers, I was afraid they were creating her as too much of the opposite of Hannah, to the point where she didn't feel real at all, just a vessel to serve a point to the audience. So I'm happy to see that she's pretty much just as annoying as the rest of them. I'm

This episode was so good. The last scene where they talk things through and officially "break-up" was heart-wrenching, I agree with some of these other comments that say it brought up flashbacks.

I am all for showing Peggy in a more negative light (to be more realistic) but I felt like they were heavily relying on very awful cliches of "businesswoman is so lonely and desperate to get married!" especially during her last conversation with Shirley. I really hope they don't entirely go that route.
