I've been catching up on some older and more recent shows I've never gotten around to watching : Michiko and Hatchin, that JoJo's reboot from last year and Shirobako. The later is definitely the best 'cute girls do a thing' anime I've seen, though I haven't seen many.

Disagree on Donald Trump. He has never been more tolerable than he is right now. Not since Herman Cain have we had a presidential candidate so blatantly making shit up as he goes along and trolling the entire process. I hope his campaign makes it all the way to New Hampshire.

That speech almost made all of the Dorne stuff worth it for me in the books. I was hoping for something like it so much, why else would you cast Alexander Siddig if not to have him deliver such a moment?

You'd think everyone who was there would have his back 110% after seeing that shit. If I got back from that I'd be screaming at everyone about it for days.

"Dead is dead" is demonstrably bullshit. Two episodes ago the show ended with tens of thousands of dead people literally opening their eyes and rising again. Maybe Jon will be MIA in season 6, but I'll be very surprised if he isn't back by season 7.

sadly youre probably right

That would be a total waste if they did. A) you could totally condense the kingsmoot into a few scenes. and B) its a contest of speeches. Martin couldn't have possibly written something more TV ready if he had tried.

They also made his character into a total fucking tool. What happened to "the grass that hides the viper?" I was holding out that they cast Siddig to give an awesome speech where his character actually has a plan, but instead we got jack squat. What a waste.

This sounds delightfully trashy. At least they're not pitting poor people against each other for entertainment. Because that is the new standard for reality TV.

Live by voice acting scabbing, die by voice acting scabbing.

Yes.

Since this dude was showrunner on the two weakest episodes, I can only assume this is a good thing for Daredevil.

I'm sick of people acting like no one was upset with what happened on the show last night. From my observation people were as livid or more than the Sansa thing a few weeks ago. And even if they weren't people don't react to things with some kind of perfect objective scale using some kind of quantifiable atrocity

Sometimes in the world of Japanese comics, editors have been known to lock artists who are way behind on their work in their rooms, invite them to the office and not let them leave until they are finished, or literally stand behind them and look over their shoulders until the artist gets it done on time.

Nah, the only thing good that came out of it was more Bronn antics. Doran and his bodyguard were well cast but given nothing to do. The rest was pure unmitigated garbage. I'm still hoping for a reveal that Doran has an actual plan and isn't a total chump that might serve justify this whole affair, but it's looking

HBO. It's not just TV. It's nihilism.

He could play it closer to book Stannis that's for sure. He also looks more like he could be Robert's brother.

I only wear Star Trek shirts to represent the post war post money warp drive having utopia I want to live in.

Rape is more common in our society than burning people alive. People are going to be more sensitive about it.
