its evil in the way that complete and total ignorance is evil.

Yes.

For all of his boot licking - I thought Darling summed up the entire angst of the experience with one of his final lines…

Would love to read an autopsy on that production to find out where things went off the rail. The script obviously terrible - but with Johns there - how did that happen?

Stanger still as they had 100% access to the guy who had written all of the best green LAntern comics to date.

Im going to assume this review/article was done prior to the release of the Andy Daly Podcast Pilot Project? Because if there has ever been as good a podcast right out of the gate with episode #1, Ive never herd it. Daly and company absolutely deliver every minute of this nearly 2 hour podcast an insanely hilarious

I just think we're lucky to have 2 shows of this quality on tv. For the volume they crank out - they are consistently sharp and relevant. I'm a big fan - and amazed at how much talent it must take to get all of that done.

Comic books. I had always regularly collected 3-5 DC titles and as an adult with a career and moolah I could buy whatever I wanted - so i thought I would buy and follow one of those big continuity events. That event was Countdown. Gawwwwwwwwwwwwdddddd how wrong was I! Why i would drag myself into the comic store

So were here now then are we…complaining about the Daily Show…wow.

To their credit, they actually have several moments/scenes where she is not in her tit hammock dresses and is just there plain, non make up and she looks very sad and very average. i thought hers was the best performance in the film - she just couldnt overcome what was essentially a crummy story.

Tension? Jesus. An episode of Sesame Street has more tension than this thing. Except the scene when Deniro shows up and finally theres some ACTUAL VIABLE threat in the film. Everything else is a mess.

no, but is it too much to ask for maybe a little entertainment in the telling of the story. Jesus…what a drag. A boring con artist movie - who knew such a thing could happen?

Thank you - my thoughts exactly - one big late 70s jerk off session. Look at this dress, listen to this song, look at how weird this style was…meanwhile the story barely gets started and we're left with zero tension. Who cared about any of this - nothing ever seemed on the line, rarely was there danger enough…just

Perfect quote use. Judges? 10, 10, 10, 9.5, 10.

100% agree on Pacific Rim. Elysium really seemed like a missed opportunity.

I appreciate your sincere efforts - but this is not a groupthink hate thingy and its not 15 minutes of bad movie its 139 minutes (give or take) of bad movie. It was an accomplishment because it took 2 films worth of good will and totally crapped on it. The Butler scene alone is enough to send this movie to

ARe you seriously trying to make the case the Sandman and Harry Osborne "worked" in Spiderman 3? i think you should go back watch the film again then take the disc out of your player and smash it over your head. Who knows what film the Sandman was supposed to be for - probably just underwritten without much

A very good film for its time…up until the Bat Sewer Boat, Penguin Car, Penguin missile, Penguin death sequence which is absolutely god-awful and in my mind takes the rest of the film down with it. But that theme, the imagery of gotham - Burton got so much more right than he did wrong.

I dont expect perfection - so Im totally cool with it. I think the the emotional investment of the actors has always been the strongest card the show has had - they are so involved. So with such a wild story, you would expect one or two details that make you say "huh?" but you quickly walk past them due to the fact

She wears out her welcome pretty much as soon as she appears in the restaurant and start rolling her eyes…wow, so annoying.
