@avclub-c722c3a0141d8ccebbee6869f18478c9:disqus Why didn't you try to let it out instead of killing it?

She comes across really well in interviews too, and not in the cute adorable way that child stars most often do, but in a very intelligent, professional actor way. I'm looking forward to her work, especially to her eventual casting as a suburban antihero type 20 years later.

You're forgetting the pair of creatives Don hired a few seasons back. Remember how the European one from the duo agrees to go out with Peggy, and she thinks it's a date, but then it becomes he's gay?

I think the show telegraphed pretty clearly that Don wasn't expecting to be rewarded for this. He'd accepted that his relationship with Sylvia was over but because he still loved her he wanted to do this for her. Remember that he didn't even try to reach her directly, he'd actually been calling for Dr. Rosen.

She's moved to LA since starting her work on Mad Men so it might become a permanent thing. That's unfortunate because in interviews she comes across as a particulate articulate person for a young woman of her age.

Peggy's a very successful woman for her age and the time period she's living in. I think her dating pool is actually pretty limited.

Who's Quinn?

Somehow I don't think those situations are quite that similar. Ken's getting published in the Atlantic. Bob's gay.

Same (hehe).

I thought that scene made it very clear he's not sexually involved with Joan. We've seen how men who want to be with Joan behave around her, and we've seen how Joan handles them. There wasn't the slightest hint of those attitudes when he was at her apartment.

There's no way Megan gets a back alley abortion. She has too many resources at her disposal. She's wealthy and an actress. That social group has an abundance of resources at its disposal for getting very discrete abortions from qualified medical professionals.

Hey, don't blame the doorman. He seemed to actually try to care about the residents of his building which can't be the easiest thing to do when you're dealing with residents of giant apartments on Park Avenue.

So dating Peggy essentially always ends in serious bodily injury. Got it.

No love for Ken Kosgrove?

@avclub-05726c736277e78fffb7b9546ad0ec6f:disqus Yes. In season 2 Peggy tells Pete "I could have shamed you into being with me."

As terrible as his actions were, I don't think that was really child abuse. It was just Don being a terrible human being, but he's thankfully never demonstrated that behavior directly to his children.

Mad Men has made me incredibly grateful that I have the parents that I do. I do argue with them from time to time, but since our only conflicts are whether I really need to get a PhD and gay marriage I think they've done a pretty great job.

@google-395e54b0ef784ff83db81cbba961ac56:disqus Wait, there are crowded bars where people get together to watch Mad Men? This is amazing.

As someone who left American while young and didn't come back till starting college, I never know what to make of portrayals of American teenagers.

You need to check out Orphan Black, @avclub-3be42d8a3412057f79af152555e39bd4:disqus . Rhys was great, but if you're not going with any of the established names, Cranston etc. Tatiana Maslany is a lock.
