@avclub-5bbc67c39fbdf1c74e28b86c595f6e4a:disqus That line really bothered me, and is among the few things that stop it from this being the close to perfect episode that it could be. Once she said she'd asked everything she knew about him, the viewers already knew that Sally realized she knows little about her dad. The

I'm a little confused by what I just saw, but I get the impression that's intentional. My mistake was going in expecting a traditional finale when this more like a setup for the anniversary episode.

I may or not have watched one episode and then proceeded to acquire the entirety of season 4 and watch it over the past few days.

Oh my goodness. I had no idea that was the cost of appearing on the show. ABC legal team is genius.

Defiance is basically my scifi crutch right now. The only reason I'm watching it is because I've burned through just about everything else out there - DS9, TNG, Farscape, Firefly, Fringe, X-Files, BSG.

I've been meaning to get into Adventure TIme, but the impression I've gotten from reviews is that it's a show that's best when you've watched the episodes in order and I just haven't been to find the time to do that.

That's Disqus. I put those on individual lines.

So I take it this show has been executing well lately? I like some soapy and campy action, and having mainlined two seasons of Nikita a while back, I know I like the gloss with which the CW executes it.

I actually found Benz's jarringly worse in this episode. It may have been because I was just coming off the most recent episode of Mad Men, but I found her completely unable to carry the scene where she tells Mia Kirshner what really happened with their mother. She just sat there vaguely trying to contort her face

I worry that by the time Jon reaches Winterfell terrible things will have befallen Robb's army.

I started this show very recently, and I am shocked at how quickly the show has gotten to the stage where I now look forward to hanging out with the characters every week.

"Playing with the slide rule" was what Ken said. It seemed fitting given that it was a math teacher.

Unfortunately people like him don't end up on pikes in the Game of Thrones. The players of the game always survive. Their positions may be stronger or weaker than before, but they always live on to play their hand another day.

Hahaha.

Paul's gone from a character I can't bear to see on screen at all, to some one I can see myself enjoying in the future. The explosiveness and sheer cool with which he dealt with Vic was impressive.

@avclub-f16faf5d680d7b88e2e157c1c137c497:disqus Agree with everything you've said. The show's definitely painted Essos and Westeros as very separate worlds. Individuals in Westeros from Essos are treated very much as outsiders and objects of curiosity regardless of their social status.
Regarding the slave army, I

Oh, me too. Before season 2 came out, I went around evangelizing it to all of my friends because of how great the first season was only to be shocked by rate at which it got worse. The only reason I kept watching was for the strength of the individual performances.

Planes isn't a Pixar movie. It apes the style of Pixar, but was produced by a different subsidiary of Disney called Disney Animation Studios.

@TheTuckPendletonMachine:disqus Echoing Dorian here, well played on the Bradbury reference. Very subtle.
