As an SNL viewer, I do not need a monologue that preaches; that is what Sunday church is for. I respect Mr. Ansari, but save the soapbox for another New York Times editorial.

What's wrong with the SNL audience? Maybe some of the skits/jokes weren't that funny…heroin use? Kasich? Not a fan of the host, either— over-rated. The opener, with McKinnon and David, was the hi-light.
