Seems unlikely the senior Republican would be in on the conspiracy. This show is completely dedicated to portraying the Republicans and Democrats as equally moral and good, I can't imagine them doing something that would suggest the Republicans are immoral, racist, gun-crazy villains.

I hoped last week's disappointing episode would at least set the show up to get rolling agian with the conspiracy-thriller plot that made the show so intriguing. Unfornunately, it was another pale imitation of West Wing, and it is so inferior to that show it is becoming hard to watch.

I was so hoping the ex-prez would be Charles Logan from 24. What a missed opportunity!
