As much as that spinoff sounds far better than anything from this episode, I'm pretty sure we saw Alan walking out of the pyramid to join all the other 'cured' people after Bill had done her power of love trick.

Another bad blockbuster episode, hyped up for ages and then failing to deliver. These 'the Doctor is going to die', 'the whole of time is going to explode' events happen so often now there isn't much story to them, just an incredibly tedious wait to find out just what little thing will save the day.
