I really dislike the majority of the character. With the exception of Nasim Pedrad's and Niecy Nash's, everyone is pretty awful. Are people invested in the outcomes of these characters?

The development of Blaine friendships were amazing this episode. Sure the crushes leave you feeling a bit crushed, but McKinley has never really done the whole friendship thing right until this year.
