It was before the interview with Lucy, but after she first sees him. So he could have decided to suddenly be much more casual about public appearance after she saw him. Like the whole reason he avoided appearing in public is because he was afraid she'd see and recognize him, but once he realized the disguise worked,

He didn't choose to live with us, but he chose to live as one of us. The construction of the Clark Kent identity seems incarnational to me, or perhaps echoing older myths of gods in disguise.

It's not an Aslanesque 1:1 correspondence, but the parallels are there.

You say that like Iron Man 3 wasn't a generally pretty okay movie.

He's a godlike entity who's chosen to live among humanity as one of us, serving as an example of what we could be. The parallels are too obvious to ignore if you're into that sort of thing. I would say that Snyder and Singer both made pretty lousy use of Christian imagery, as much as they relied on it.

I honestly can't be sure anymore. Most Mexicans are Catholic, so it's not like he doesn't have a grudge.

Say what you will about Sorkin, he knows how to write dialog (with himself).

I'm from the Midwest and I'd still see Jack in the Box ads on cable networks sometimes. There is no escape.

Somebody probably heard Killer Mike's verse on Close Your Eyes (and Count to Fuck) and let their imagination run with it.

For that matter, a white baby could grow up in urban poverty. And neither of them would necessarily be a different race from their adoptive parents.

Oh shit, is it time for the Atrocity Olympics already?
