Silver actually has certain anti-viral/microbial properties so it would somewhat make sense that it would harm a creature based on viral biology.

To be fair many critics thought the book was mindless violence when it came out. I quite liked it though, and see no way it could be brought to film in any tasteful way. And that's the point, we are meant to witness his shocking acts and at the same time realize that society had some hand in creating or at least not

Perhaps that's because very very soon he won't be inconsequential (no one would spend non plot-tied screen time on a character that wasn't)..

That part was ridiculous. 95% of cargo comes in via shipping and trucking, air travel is for passengers. Economy would be fine.

I thought it was obvious but maybe i'm just a genius.

Hint: Rich old bazillionaire is pulling agency strings.

It's pretty obvious that there's a conspiracy surrounding this sort of behavior that has been pretty well telegraphed at this point, AKA creepy old bazillionaire pulling strings to facilitate the Master's journey. It's not plain ol' plot stupidity. At least I would think this would be fairly obvious.

It's not necessary for a character introduction to move the plot forward. Not in a novel, not in a movie and especially not in episodic TV.

SHIT HE HAD HAIR IN THE BOOK?!?!?! DAMN, OBVIOUSLY CAN'T CHANGE THAT DETAIL WOULD RUIN THE WHOLE STORY!!!!111

VEEP is not nearly as good as everyone thinks it is. It's mostly just people insulting eachother in increasingly repetitive ways.
