That's nice for the message it states to the industry. Hopefully Michelle MacLaren directs a few of those.

I've been enjoying this season so far, but I would prefer that they stopped with the Trump parody right now. Not for any of the reasons listed in the review since I'm not taking things as literally about the real world as the reviewer is. I just think Trump is such an easy target for South Park and has been done to

"Memba Jaws 2?"

Ew. Hope not. And not because of Trump, but because they gave enough focus to that storyline as it is. I'm much more invested in the trolling part.

I think Clever Username of Some Sort must have been on memberberries when he wrote that.

Now with the passing of Chantal Akerman, I'm inclined to say that Reichardt is my favorite female contemporary director. Certainly of the ones I know, she's the only one that I loved every single one of her films. I really can only think of Denis and Bigelow as being on the same level, but I still like Reichardt more

Watched it a few days ago and it was a treat. Not wonderful or anything, but quite delightful. The plot is very unremarkable (though not bad at all, actually), but I feel the loose structure and rhythm of the film helps to reduce its importance (my favorite scenes are far and away the ones that have absolutely nothing

Hear, hear!

Technically, they've also cancelled The Killing twice.

Fey has ample experience playing the crazy one. Even Liz Lemon had her fits. Not to mention her years playing on SNL all kinds of crazy characters (including her Sarah Palin). Hell, this year she already played a crazy woman on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.

Yay! I knew you guys wouldn't let us down.

I don't expect anything to be even remotely close to what Archer did (though hopefully I'm wrong), but seriously, they could have done at least 5 or 6 episodes playing out the consequences of each of these cliffhangers. To be quite honest, much as I like the show, I kinda feel that they have wasted the amazing concept

And the weird thing is that you usually save the crossover episodes for November sweeps. I agree with everything you said.

I thought it was very rushed too. This show suffers from a severe problem of wanting to go back to its status quo as quickly as possible. I mean, in reality, most sitcoms suffer from that, but B99 always sets up these really awesome season-ending cliffhangers like Jake undercover or Holt getting a promotion or Holt

Day was a writer in the show last season, if I'm not mistaken. I remember him from the days of Kath & Kim, he seemed to have a good energy and I think he was quite promising here.

The interplay is so, so bad. Sometimes they seem to be looking at Zorn's shoulders. Makes me wanna go back to Roger Rabbit and check it out if my memory is tricking me or if Bob Hoskins really made a miracle there.

I think you should stay away from SFU and Transparent (and Casual and maybe UnReal too, for that matter) if you feel Piper is your best example for that.

I sort of disagree. My personal response is that every season there was a character or two I really hated on Six Feet Under and then the show made me come around every time. Six Feet Under was the show that made me realize hating characters was not a bad thing. Those extremes I felt about all of them was what made

I was supposed to hate this show as I hate most other shows with characters who make gratuitously self-destructive decisions because they hate themselves and/or have some psychological issues, but there's something about this one that works. I think it has to do with where they chose to start off, with Maura's early

It returned earlier this year. It had premiered in December last season, and now it's coming back in September.
