Ew, the idea of that makes my skin crawl.

'Ello, guvnah!

I'd love to see a documentary or something about its troubled production.

"Build the Wall-E!"

Oooo, I hope this is as good as it looks! I fucking HATED The Good Dinosaur, and I'm so ready for a strong movie from Pixar that isn't a sequel to an existing property of theirs.

"Gifted" is such a generic title. I wish they'd gone with "Academy X", the title of the New Mutants spinoff from the 2000s.

Especially since she's always been this vampy boy magnet in the comics. Having her be a closeted lesbian would be an interesting take on the character.

See, I don't get a vibe of her being into Archie. I see an emotional connection for sure, a trust and understanding, but as far as a real sexual attraction, that seems to be all on his part to me.

Not to mention she made a point of the fact that in NY, she had a habit of going out with guys who were "disposable", and doesn't seem to care much about Reggie to begin with.

The movie title sounds like the name of a Mighty Max playset.

Let's hear it for blatant product placement with that mascara money shot!

So happy that Moonlight won best picture. I've said this before here, but what a powerful statement in 2017 to have the film dealing with race, class, and sexuality come out on top over the film that glorifies the lily-white days of old Hollywood, which was the film that was assumed to have the award in the bag. A

Oh good. I thought I was just a dumbass who didn't "get" it. :)

I just watched it yesterday. I liked the first half, but after David left the hotel, the film lost me.

I actually haven't seen that one in its entirety, to be honest. What I have seen of Eris however is really striking.

One thing I think that Dreamworks has over Disney in terms of their CGI is that each of their films has its own distinct look for the most part. They can go with stylized and cartoony in Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, or Mr. Peabody (all three of which featured their OWN distinct versions of stylization), but they can

I know that Dreamworks is all about the CGI animation now, and that's sad, because the studio's 2D animation was exquisite. Prince of Egypt, Road to El Dorado, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, and Sinbad, while they have their flaws, are truly beautiful-looking films.

El Dorado has more issues with tone than Prince of Egypt does, I feel. Like, the producers wanted to see how far they could push the adult stuff by throwing in a few jokes and bits of innuendo that really served no purpose. The implied homosexual romance between Miguel and Tulio seemed really exploitative, like the

You don't have to go far. It's still breathtaking to watch. The weird attempts at humour through the addition of Steve Martin's and Martin Short's priest characters is so out of place, but thankfully their role is limited. That movie still ranks among my favourite animated features.

I totally forgot about the stage adaptation, and I didn't realize that Rasputin had been cut out. I'm assuming the new villain has a real motive to kill Anastasia other than it being "because he's the villain", though. Rasputin at least had a reason to want her dead - to complete the curse and get out of limbo.
