"No Surprises" never fails to make my soul curl up in the fetal position as I submit to its sublime such and such etc

Seeing these clips and hearing stories about him, I've come to a realization about Demme: he's like Steve Nash. He used his skills and expertise to make everyone around him better and look better. Here's a list of people he got the best on-camera performances of their career from, in my opinion:
