I finally got into A Song of Ice and Fire, a decade after everyone else did. I wish I got into it sooner, I could have avoided many a spoiler.

The only "new" book I read this year was A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms by George RR Martin, but seeing as the stories are all years old I don't think it would count. Made to Kill sounds really cool, I'll have to check that out.
