Exactly! I love the 3 you praise (plus the version of Think Too Much with goat noises and 1 or 2 others) and utterly loathe the two you name as clunkers (as well as the other version of Think Too Much & several more).

Long as it's the live solo "American Tune" and not the dullish studio version with syrupy strings, I'll vouch for at least one of those choices.

Don't know who it was, but the bass player on "America" shreds like all hell. Most folks never notice because the bass is so buried in the mix — listen hard, it's somewhat amazing.
