Agreed with all this. If only it wasn't so annoying to watch for the first 6 episodes.

Yup, I enjoyed the encroaching inevitability of his demise. Better than the character deserved perhaps - I still don't think Frank needed to be on the show at all - but Vaughn sold it well.
Didn't mind Frain living, it'd be ridiculous for all the bad guys to go down. Though he still might if the evidence miraculously gets its due.
Nope, not for a second, though I get why they'll be a few who think that after this admittedly decent finale. I came into the season in good faith, but labyrinth plotting doesn't impress me if I don't care about most of what's going on.
Nice finale. Didn't even matter that the 'reveal' of the Caspere murder was a flop, the episode itself was barely interested in it. Apparently Pizzololatto is a big Heat fan.
Has anyone ever given a good answer to the supervillain question? You may as well tweak it to 'if you had superpowers' given all the answers it generates.
Easy now, Americans are only just coming to grips with the concept of soccer.
Eh.
That's a horrible thing to say!
Your responses are living up to your username, I'll give you that. :-)
This episode got an A-, so what's the problem? You think AV Club was harsher on previous episodes than other critics? Because it really wasn't.
On the 'fucked up personality' stakes they're about even, though I guess he doesn't know that.
Altogether now: grades here are rated on their own independent curves.
Not that I disagree about the dodgy characterizations, but I'm not even sure that was meant to be a reveal. We already know the Vinci police are corrupt, so what's the difference?
Hey, I'll be the first to admit the eureka moment in the finale was lol-worthy, but I'm not sure that negates the fact that people still understood what was going on and why they should care (season 1 was never really about the 'whodunnit' anyway).
The plot is very convoluted, there's no denying that. Taken as a Raymond Chandler/James Ellroy homage it's acceptable as a genre tic, but after the tighter first season I can't blame people for getting annoyed at still wondering what the hell's going on this far in.
I laughed when Velcoro said Ani was way out of his league, as if Farrell isn't an absurdly handsome man.
Not a fan of Top Gear, but internationally it's a ratings juggernaut. Can't blame Amazon for making a very obvious business decision.
I'm not going to pretend the Foo Fighters are great or anything (Nothing Left to Lose might be the best of an ok bunch), but as a bit of performance art I will absolutely agree that was pretty cool.
Looks quite good, although it's funny how they have all the usual thriller genre edits and sound effects for scenes of people just talking around a desk.
