Two good characters. Don't forget Juliette Binoche.

"Ladies and gentlemen, a big hand for the comedy stylings of Malcom Warner and DDB9000!"
Nicely played, you two.

Moi aussi!

I think this review would be better with the picture from "Nymphomaniac Part 2" up there.

I was watching the anime, "Girls und Panzer," about high-school girls who compete with other schools using real tanks. So, the night before the Big Match, one team is sitting around watching-you guessed it- "Kelly's Heroes."
They even rotoscoped the scene where the Sherman shoots the Tiger in the alley.

But who's the smart-talking kid from Brooklyn who's too young to die?

"Those damn Nazis! They're destroying Art!"
"Um, and they're also trying to take over Europe and slaughter millions of people."
"Yeah yeah. But they're destroying Art!"

They always do.

A semi-intelligent plant that was smuggled out of the then Soviet Union. They're raised for their wonderful oil. Unfortunately, they also have these ten foot long whips that can kill and maim. They make a clattering sound to communicate with one another.
Oh, and they can apparently sort of see, and they can move.
Why…

Isn't that "The Thing From Another World?"
"An intellectual carrot! The mind boggles!"

I never saw the movie, but I hated the book.
(SPOILER) He set it up early on that there was no hope of any of them ever making it out alive. It just became like a slasher movie-we know they all die, so let's see how it happens.

I agree. It's a lot of fun. Midwich Cuckoos is pretty awesome too.

You'll only have yourself to blame.

"We think it looks great…"
That's what you said about Dawes.

Yes, but "As I Lay Dying" has the blackest humor. I just felt guilty laughing at these poor sods. I laughed anyway, 'cause, you know, they're poor sods and horrible things happening to other people is funny.

That's it exactly. It's a bunch of words, rushing around, that barely make sense and then suddenly, boom, you're in it and it's incredible.
I love Faulkner.
