The Defenders spent 90% of the season having the characters express disbelief with each other and acting too cool and/or fed up to deal with each other and whatever was going on. That shit should have stopped by episode two.

Sometime in the spring, I think.
And how was it?
I always found Mike Meyers’ brand of comedy hacky. I think Will Ferrell just exhibits...bad taste in scripts?
Aw, I like Will. I just know that I have to be selective when watching his films. Today that means not seeing much, but still...
I don’t see Boo! A Madea Halloween on that list...
It really doesn’t take much energy to not respect someone, so those big fish will get fried just fine. And it’s not like Damon’s ignorant behavior/comments have been limited to Weinstein and Me Too; there was also his treatment of Effie Brown on Project Greenlight and his comments on diversity.
That’s the logic of white feminism you’re talking about and it only applies to white women. Omarosa gets no such hand-waving.
Would you rather he blow his brains out like many in your generation did and do?
No, there are people who genuinely dislike him now because of at least of one the fucked up things he’s said and may have had the same feelings watching this episode. I certainly don’t see him the same anymore.
Yeah, I like the character a lot, but she’s not doing anything new with it. Honestly, I thought she was coming to talk about Creed 2/Tessa Thompson’s character. There could have been something interesting to explore beside what she actually did.
No. My mom feels the same way. Actually, she just doesn’t like her and I can’t figure out why. Perhaps this is why.
Look at how they did little more than blink when the woman hurled that slur. Seemed like the non-Asians were outraged.
I honestly thought she was going to pull out pepper spray. And considering her history, maybe she actually was looking for it.
Steve Carell’s episode sucked harder than this one, so I feel pretty comfortable laying the blame at the writers’ feet.
Is Claire the only woman in SNL history?
Not if you’re Jewish.
The letter sketch and the Dad Christmas sketch made this episode far better than the last, by far. There was literally nothing funny about Steve Carell’s episode.
He’s got the body for it.
Did he darken his skin for this?
