Thanks! I wish your activity wasn't set to private so I could find those comments. I've been skipping most of the comments section because commentary for the episode two episodes ago was the last straw - too many predictable, rote, jump-on-the-bandwagon type slams of what is an interesting, complex, definitely above

Excellent episode!

Pate of duck, chicken liver, bacon. Sheep & goat milk cheese. Crackers. Chilled golden beets and peaches in white miso sauce. Smoked oysters. Crab risotto.

He has impressed me more and more each episode.

Ugh, a C from the reviewer and a B- from everyone else. I think I'll just have to skip the review and the comment thread. Why bother to get agitated over opinions.

I agree about how this is the way a lot of people express or not express their emotions. Also definitely agree about this being an issue with anime. It can be frustrating and usually the voice work doesn't help much either.

I think that sort of blankness that just hints at potential depths is an ideal acting choice for a show like Hannibal. It allows the viewer to project emotions and thought processes onto the characters, depending on the narrative or the viewer's own perspective and feelings. And it allows for a lot of mystery to

good point.

It looks to me from the way that Seymon talks and thinks, he's a reader. Of what exactly, I don't know. But depending on what he (or anyone growing up poor etc.) reads, he could come across the word louche.

For me, McAdams' acting is what makes her the most interesting and charismatic character in the cast.

Least favorite storyline so far is the gay cop. Stories about tortured closeted types just feel so played out to me, and his doubling down on the drinks at that club was annoying to watch. I think I'd prefer it as its own story instead of shoe-horned into a mystery. But despite that, I thought the best acting this
