The bugs just aren't that scary in my opinion, and the armored suits may as well not be there. The fight scenes are not that memorable. I really just don't like the movie very much at all.

I know it's satire, but that doesn't make it good satire. Heavy handed and totally lacking in subtly, at least make me feel conflicted about enjoying the mindless violence that you're supposed to be criticizing, instead you bore me with terrible action and special effects.

As a Constantine adaptation it's not that great, but I always ignore that part of it and just enjoy it as an entertaining movie. And yes, Stromare and also Tilda Swinton really class it up, and even Lebeouf isn't too terrible.
