As soon as Steven said the Gems were installing the new sign, the power should have cut out because they used too much on the sign.

Should have ended with him turning his back to the picture of Rose, like Zuko with the Fire Nation emblem after Blue Spirit. Would have hit the perfect note.

I thought it was kind of deep. Steven finally sees his mom and lashes out over the stuff he's recently learned about her that was removed from the ideal portrait of her that the Gems and Greg painted for him. He probably wasn't going to get the answers he needed (she wasn't actually there) but it was still a good

Sounded more Australian

I'm not shipping Freida and Susan. Didn't get much more than a best friends vibe from them.

Are there other Sapphires though? I think she was the only one.

After seeing the whole bomb, I'm now wondering how Blue Diamond DIDN'T recognize Ruby and Sapphire from their last encounter? Did she forget?

I got such an Odyssey vibe from this miniseries. We had the "sirens" of Jake's hallucination, getting lost, and the Guardian (which could be seen as a Cyclops).

I think this was better than Stakes. Stakes was good and Everything Stays is a great song, but I do think it was a bit more muddled with the chasing of vampires and the Marceline backstory muddled together.

Except for Founders Island. Thats a pretty searing indictment of the cradle-to-grave welfare state.

I think we all did.

Theory: Minerva became what she became to care for her citizens in the way she never could for her own son. It was an outlet for her maternal instincts rooted in a sense of loss.

Only 2 seasons left, it only makes sense that he returns to land the ship that he created.

I actually applauded during the final credits.

Now I remember why Adventure Time became the truly great show that it is. The level of depth in the settings and cultures, the brilliant weaving of fear and compassion, and the fantastic character development crammed into just 8 episodes is a testament to the writers and artists ability after all these years.

I actually kind of figured this was going to be the zoo based off what I remember from gravity falls and what one of the gems said about how if you give a human all that it needs, they're easy to control.

Blue Diamond sentenced Ruby to be shattered for fusing with Sapphire. That's where the disgust with fusion and love comes from probably.

I have to go back and make sure I heard this correctly, but at the end, did Pearl say they reached the zoo "69 years ahead of schedule"?

Kind of liked how Steven trusts Connie to defend BC while the others have Lapis and Peridot doing it.
